But if you're paying out of pocket and want to save money without actually sacrificing functionality, the Casio line fits the same coursework as the TI-84 and is worth a serious look.
The Casio fx-9750GIII costs significantly less than TI models often around half the price of a TI-84 while still carrying strong customer ratings and a feature set that covers far more than basic graphing, including a natural textbook display and MicroPython programming. It handles the same core tasks: graphing functions, running regressions, working with matrices, and plotting statistical data.
The trade-off: the interface isn't quite as intuitive as TI's menu system if you've never used one before, and because fewer U.S. teachers use Casio day-to-day, you may get less in-class troubleshooting help. That said, it's still fully approved for SAT, ACT, and most standardized tests, so it's not a compromise on exam day just a slightly different learning curve.

HP Prime Fits College and Professional STEM Work
